Companies large and small throughout Nova Scotia and Canada offer employee programs where dollar for dollar, they match the charitable donations of their employees and as a result, multiply in direct impact of the employee’s donation! In many cases, it is because of these programs, that companies actually find out where the community concerns and support of their employees lie. This information also allows companies to direct their corporate donations to reflect the interests of their employees and communities.
Does your company offer a donation-matching program? It is easy to find out! Check with your Payroll or Human Resources Department and ask if there is a matching program in place. Every company may have a different method of tracking donations – from employees submitting copies of their receipts, to accepting tracking forms from the charity itself.
