Updates on ESNS Activities (March 2020)

In light of currents events surrounding COVID-19, many of our programs & services have been affected.

In light of the ever-changing situation regarding Covid-19, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to close all on-site operations including our administrative office and café at 22 Fielding Ave and our New Leaf Café at the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre and all catering services effective Wednesday, March 18 to March 31.  At that time, a decision about a further closure will be visited.

Most staff will continue to work remotely from home including the Wheelchair Recycling Program with its dedicated phone lines and email contacts, Assistive Devices, and administration associated with Take Part and Camp Tidnish.

In cooperation with Mic Mac Mall, we have cancelled our fundraising event, Bunnyland, scheduled to take place from April 1-11.

To our program participants, customers, community partners and stakeholders, we look forward to re-connecting with you after this closure and supporting you the best we can over the next few weeks.

Joanne Bernard, President & CEO
Easter Seals Nova Scotia

Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, Easter Seals Nova Scotia has suspended all on-site program participation by clients and off-site community programs for two weeks including New Leaf Enterprises.

The health and safety of our clients, customers and staff are at the heart of everything we do as a charity.

We look forward to updating you on any further closures to our programs and services.

Thank you,

Joanne Bernard, President & CEO

BUNNYLAND (March 16)

Mic Mac Mall has suspended all mall activities including Easter. Due to this and for the health & safety of everyone, Bunnyland will not push through this year.

PAPER EGG CAMPAIGN 2020 (March 16)

Our Paper Egg Campaign is so far still ongoing at Lawtons, Booster Juice and other stores while operations are running. Stay tuned to our social media accounts to get the latest updates.

The Bluenose Marathon scheduled for May 15-17 has been postponed to the fall and registration is currently suspended. We will update our Bluenose page once registration is reopened and the new dates are confirmed.

It is still #EasterSealsMonth and while we are facing some obstacles, we are still UNSTOPPABLE™!

This March, we are spreading awareness of what Easter Seals does for Nova Scotians living with disabilities!
