Assistive Devices Program

Easter Seals Nova Scotia’s Assistive Devices program helps Nova Scotians with physical disabilities in financial need to acquire medical devices based on an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist’s mobility assessment.

The Assistive Devices program enables clients access to a wide variety of refurbished health equipment which has been generously donated to us by our supporters. Items available may include mobility aids, as well as bathroom and bedroom safety equipment. A limited supply of donated equipment is available to the public. Equipment and its ongoing maintenance then becomes the responsibility of the client. Occupational Therapists may view our equipment inventory by clicking the button below.

We accept certain donations of medical equipment for recycling, please see the donations page for criteria.

Submitting a Request

To submit a request for this program, you must have an application form filled out by a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.  They will evaluate your needs and will then submit a request to us.
