Registration is now open for Drop Zone Halifax 2024! Challenge yourself and change lives on Tuesday, August 13th by rappelling from the top of Halifax’s tallest office tower 1801 Hollis Street in support of Nova Scotians living with disabilities!

What is Drop Zone?

Drop Zone is an adrenaline-pumping adventure that encourages you to get out of your comfort zone and face your fears by rappelling from the top of Halifax’s tallest office building – all in support of Nova Scotians living with disabilities. Whether you’re able-bodied or have a disability, the Easter Seals Drop Zone gives you a once-in-a-lifetime chance to challenge yourself and change lives!

Date: Tuesday, August 13th, 2024
Location: 1801 Hollis Street in Downtown Halifax
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This is the total duration of the event. For rappellers, everyone is scheduled for a specific time to rappel and to do a final training session on the mobile training wall before they head up to the top of the building. Anyone is welcome to stop by at any point in the day to watch our brave participants rappel down 1801 Hollis!

Where do the funds go?

100% of the funds raised at Drop Zone stay in Nova Scotia! Funds raised help support Easter Seals Nova Scotia’s four-pillar programs. New Leaf Enterprises, Take PART, Assisted Mobility and Camp Tidnish. Drop Zone funds enable us to keep our barrier-free summer Camp Tidnish physically and financially accessible to our campers, help us provide affordable wheelchair and mobility equipment, assist with our inclusive sports programs, and support our skills and workplace training services for Nova Scotians with disabilities.

Register as an individual, or better yet, create a team of superheroes and take on the Drop Zone challenge with your friends, family or colleagues, and raise funds to help support programs and services for people living with disabilities.

The fundraising minimum to rappel is $1,500 per individual or $5,000 per team of four ($1,250 per person). Additional team members of more than four people are an additional $1,250 per person.

To Register click the link below to fill out the registration form. A $100 registration fee is required to sign up and will be included in your $1,500 fundraising minimum. You will be provided with a tax receipt for this donation, and it can also be provided by a donor.
